    Default Suggestions

As a non-american-user of this forum I have a demand:
It would be very nice to avoid abbreviations like here for example
    http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...02&postcount=1
For american birders the Red-winged Blackbird may be a very well known species, but the meaning of „rwbb“ is not easy to find out, even with a book of north american birds.

Furthermore a suggestion to the admins & mods:
Especially for the second-language-english reader it could be very helpful to generate a shurtcut-list to explain often used acronyms like BG (Background) , SH (shadow/highlight), OOF (out of focus) etc., and add the list to the Technical Support Site as FAQ

    What`s your opinion?

    Regards
    Tassilo

    Thanks for this great site!

We'll call one a suggestion, and the other a strong suggestion... demand carries a negative connotation that makes me unhappy ;) BPN will definitely take this into consideration as our international base is EXTREMELY important to us. We truly want to be a world-wide nature photography resource. We always listen to our Members...

I will let you know as soon as we've come up with a solution for this.

    Thanks for your support,

    Blake

I will definitely work on an acronym list!!1 Will probably post it here and in the Edu Forum as a Stickie.

    Thanks for your important feedback!

You probably meant "petition" when you said demand :)

    Tassilo,

We are just having fun with you and want to thank you for your "demands" I mean suggestions.

It can't be easy trying to express your thoughts in another language. I have a tough enough time trying to do that in my own native language.

BPN is truly an International community, thanks again for being interested enough to offer your thoughts.

Funny, but I have to say that I noticed that "rwbb" was not used by an American, but rather one of our neighbors to the north. ;)

    herzliches Willkommen zur BPN :D
