    Default Gartered Trogon

This male Gartered Trogon was calling from a near by branch but was all too obstrusive and busy so I used a bit of playback to get him land a bit closer but
I guess he just landed way too close for my 600 and the 1.4TC, sadly I did not have enough time to remove the TC and the bird flew away...

The peril of prime lenses! Nothing to cry about though - this is a nice pic. Love the sharpness & colors. I'm usually not too fond of a straight-on stare but this is nice in its own way.

Excellent image. Wonderful colors, great details, nice BG, perch and composition.
Seeing for the first time. TFS.

    Regards,
    Satish.

I like how the perch is angled, sharpness, eye contact, exposure, flash work and composition. You did really well with the tough lighting conditions. How do you like your new 7D II?
