I love this shot, the position allows you to see the various markings all along the body, colors are vivid and the perch is great!

beautiful colors and detail captured with the use of remote and tripod. Being so close, I wonder if you had enough light to stop down a little more for DOF and get a little more tail detail. Just wondering, but the eye capture takes me right there and not much lost with the tail OOF anyway. Maybe a little off the bottom would emphasize the upper part of the bird more, IMHO.

Very nice! I agree that a little more DOF would have been good. You don't need 1/4000 for the SS for this shot, but you may have been hoping to catch it flying, in which case it was a good choice. Nice color -- I think this is one where a very judicious sharpening of the JPEG could work well.

You might consider cropping from the bottom about halfway to the tail, and adding a little canvas on the left. The bird is a little uncomfortably pushed into the UL corner.

Nice! And brighter, too. I didn't notice how dark the OP was, but this is much better! It can be easy to overlook brightness issues on the screen.

Much better on the RP. I thought the original was dark as well.

I use a CamRanger with PT Hub on my tripod. With that I can be anywhere with 150 feet and control my camera from a tablet, laptop, or desk top.

    Hope this help
