    These two Galahs (Eolophus roseicapillus) were basking in the early morning sun whilst perched in a dead tree along the Murray river in South Australia recently. Canon 1DIV, EF 600 f4 IS +1.4TCIII, 1/2000, 7.1, 320 supported on monopod. Basic workup in CS6 - all comments and critique appreciated.

    Lovely pair and image! The pair show up well against the grey BG, you have nice details and poses and I like seeing catch lights in both of their eyes.

    I love the way the bird on the right is holding on to two different parts on the perch, very neat. I too like the nicely coloured birds against the grey BG. I like the comp as is but I could see a version with a bit more canvas at right. Good details, exposure. Well done
