    I captured this Mallard enjoying the water on Lake Mirror in Lakeland, Florida. Comments and critique welcomed and appreciated. Thank you for viewing.

    Nikon D7000
    Nikon 80-400mm F/4.5-5.6 VRII AF-S ED shot at 390mm (585mm FFE)
    1/1600 F/5.6 Matrix Metering + 1 EV ISO 1250
    Post processed in Lightroom 5 and Photoshop Elements 10
    Cropped for composition, darker areas in upper background blended in to smooth out the background

    People see mallards as common, but I still love them. Good focus on the face and nice feeling of action. Nice image ... did you hand him a bar of soap ?

    Wonderful action with a sharp head. I would darken the mid tones a bit.

    Joe I like these images you are posting, great water action ,I would go a tad darker but that does not detract from a smashing image.

    I agree on darkening the midtones and also adding some saturation, but I love the action, composition and sharpness. An exciting mallard image!

    Very cool bathing pose with all that water flying around. Looks to bright on my monitor and could be toned down quite a bit. It will bring more detail to the water. Well done
