I've always thought of Grackles as black birds, but seeing this fellow with his iridescence I'm wondering if he complies with the theme?

    Bill Sir,
Excellent image with wonderful iridescence colors. Beautiful pose, great details, superb BG and superb composition.
IMHO, if mine, would clone the OOF perch behind the tail. When I read about theme, I took the image of Asian Koel, as usual thinking as black bird but it has also got
similar iridescence colors. I have the same the question...if koel complies with the theme?
We will get the right answer from Stuart Sit.

    Regards,
    Satish.

Another beautiful capture in your Common Grackle series, Bill. I too think of these birds as in the black category. I also think Satish's question might be answered by saying, yes it complies with the theme, for birds with black feathers refract light differently in varying levels, angle and intensity of light.

Hey Bill, I would sure think this qualifies. Excellent exposure and IQ, I would also clone out the out of focus branch.

Works for me Bill, lovely image. Perfect background and the angle of light shows the iridescence. Thank you for sharing.

Excellent image Bill! I like the exposure, details, sharpness, clean BG and how the iridescence comes through.

Very good sharpness, well exposed and the colours are excellent, I dont mind the oof branch, in fact I do like the curved perch.
