There's been a small flock of these birds in a local park. I had to evict a couple of branches that intersected the bird

Looks nice Roy, I like the colors and details, sharp. A tad head turn would be ideal if the subject is cooperative

Thanks so much for the info. about shooting location in Vancouver, it was very helpful. Hopefully we will get to meet next time

    Happy new year!

The processing looks great for the most part as I could not tell that some branches intersected the subject...but there is an artifact at left edge that needs cleaning up. Great bird, and a beautiful raspberry male too. I like the typical-for-this-species dirty messy bill. Mottled BG looks good too. I find the edges a bit odd on the oof parts of the perch, not sure if it was a masking issue, or like that out of camera.

Nice sharpness and detail, subtle colors, nice BG. I think you could successfully clone of the OOF part of the perch that's closer to the camera.

THanks guys for the comments. Dan the branches looked funky OOC I tried to clone the edges a little to blend them in more. Diane, great suggestioin never even notice the OOF tip of the branch. Arash for sure next time we'll get together.
