    Hi Sonny,

A very nice first post! In a situation like this having a long zoom is really an advantage. I hope you were able to shoot a burst and get the full action. It looks like autofocus worked well for you, and that you had enough depth of field that the subjects are both sharp.

I think an option for a different look is to crop to a vertical, but I can't criticize this crop, with the birds placed off-center and the branch being fully in the frame. A compromise might be just a little off the right edge.

Look forward to seeing more from you!

nice action shot! It would be interesting to see a vertical crop and take a little off the top to bring in the eagles a little closer if IQ allows. the right upper branch could be cloned out to accomplish this. Just ideas, it is also nice as is.

Thanks for your advise I Re-Cropped the image and here is the result. I do think it looks better. I did try to clone the branches but it did look good.

Very nice -- I think it's more powerful this way.

I like the repost, but I did a little more. Interested if you approve? I love the look of the lower eagle and felt anything to bring that would help. Nice action capture, hope to see that some day!

Hmmm -- I hadn't noticed how much the original branches were all truncated along a vertical line. I didn't notice it in the OP, but cutting off the big one at the same point makes it look artificial. The best compromise would be to let the big one extend further and trim back a couple of the smaller ones to break up that boundary line.

I had not noticed that until I reposted, funny, I agree, better to create a more natural line
