    A very striking image! The bright colors against the black BG remind me of the paintings on velvet. I like the way the light has picked up the iridescent blues. The whites on the neck and beak look like they may be burned out.

    Striking indeed. Wonderful colors. Agree with Mike about some of the whites, are 255 in some areas. Probably from the jpeg conversion process.

    I might try a vertical based on the pose, to give more room for the wings and a bit more below as well.

    Yep! What a neat pose to capture! I'd be a fan of just a little bit more room top and bottom and possibly more of a squarish crop (so as to not add room to the left and right). If you can bring in some of the whites on the neck, that would be awesome, but not a deal breaker for me.
