    Default King Peguin portrait

Hi all this is somehow an akward looking portrait and i am not 100 % on the crop , i could have added more room to the RHS to balance the image a bit better ? Or i could have cut off from LHS , but i did not want to loose the nice feather detail .

I revisited older files for new editing since DPP 4 allows MK IV files to work on.

    So what do you think.

    EOS 1D MK IV
    EF 500 IS L
    Tripod

    F 5,6 ; ISO 1600 ; 1/1600 sec ; full frame

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC ; no NR on the subject , slight NR in PS with Neat Image to the BG .

Thanks for looking and commenting to my long ago last posting

Cheers Andreas and have a happy new year 2015 with loads of opportunities for photography .

I like the stretched neck, the texture and the details in both black and whites. There is noise in the eye and I wish you had framed this with more room to the right, his beak is almost touching the border of the frame, too tight

TFS and Happy new year to you as well.

Fantastic pose, colours. Sweet BG. I agree with a bit more room at right, and with the noise in the eye.

Happy New Year to you as well...looking forward to what you will share with us in 2015!

Gorgeous colors and detail. Yes to more of a pano with some room to the right. Otherwise a fine image in my book.

Fine detail and beautiful color including the BG, Andreas. Agree with a bit more room on the right. Well done.

Thanks guys for your kind comments , agree with the noise issue in the eye , should have kept an eye on that .
Regarding space on RHS , i can add , no problem , and agree is a bit tight on that side .

Cheers and a happy new year

Nice pose with good detail, but do agree that this is calling out for more room at right, and with the noise in the eye.

    Both easy fixes
