    Default Juvi Tricolor...

Another from my trip to Gatorland yesterday. There is a lot to pick at with this one - light angle, cropped a bit tight on the left, head angle off by a few minutes, etc... but I enjoy the complementary colors of the subject and background. Maybe you will too.

PS - The JPG looks a bit oversaturated for some reason.

Dan I like the pose here and you already critique your own image. I'll just add that the OOF structure/building in the background is a bit distracting

You've done a nice job critiquing your own image. I do like the "wild" look of this youngster. The detail is excellent. I think the BG would work better if the OOF buildings went to the top rather than having a tip of the blue sky which could be changed.

Thanks for the feedback. I actually started to clone / QM out the blue at the top (which is actually a building of some sort) but wasn't able to extend the brown background quickly in a way that looked very natural. I also found that I liked the blue for some reason, so decided to like it as part of this imperfect but likeable image. ;-)

    Hi Dan,
I like your composition, I would fill in the blue sky in the left top corner of the frame with the brownish red hue of the building and defuse it even more...

Fully agree with your own assessment Just the slight head turn. Do find the bg very complementing and appealing These youngsters are photogenic birds !!! Like it a lot !!!

Maybe needs just a little more space in front of the bird. Oterwise, great shot. Like the colors and the light.
