    Taken Yesterday, they just recently returned to the city ponds. Not many around yet, but they were friendly.
    Almost Full frame, I wish I had a bit more in front.

    F5, iso1000, 1/2000sec., 420mm (300f2.8 w/ 1.4), D800, Handheld
    PP in ACR & PS6 mostly, finish in NX2.

    You are lucky to get "friendly" individuals of this species...up here we need to work hard to get close to them (or use audio, but that does not always work with them). Awesome details, and I love the colours on the head. I'm OK with the amount of space in front. I think I would have traded less below for more above. I like the inclusion of the oof female...

    Well exposed, and fantastic iridescence. I'd take some off the bottom, but leave the top and make it a bit of a pano. Oof hen works ok for me. Wish I could someday get close to one of these guys.
