Beautiful light on a beautiful bank shot, Alan (although I'm not sure the fish agrees with me).

Wow! That is flippin awesome Alan! What a great dynamic pose and wing position. The under wings are lit perfectly and the whole bird is covered well by the sunny morning. Beautiful feather detail too. Great eye contact and the water flying from the fish gives this action packed image even more action. I like the tight comp too.
I see what Ian means about the fish, but very nice.

    Alan,
Beautiful lighting and great action shot as always! One question, was that fish frozen?
    Thanks, Ed

Awesome shot, should really go to alaska as the bald eagles seem way more cooperative there than here, so much easier to get amazing shots like that than around here. Not sure I will post any more eagle shots after this one ;). BTW was this with some fill flash? Or was the light just so great that it lit up the eagle that well.

Hi Dvir, no flash, just late evening light.

I think that this is simply superb. The lighting is perfect and the flared wingtips and intense action make this one of the nicest eagle shots I have seen in a long time.

Great shot Alan. beautiful light and bird position. The fish does look a little "rigid" but no big deal.

Beautiful shot Alan. Excellent techs, good look at the fish, great eye contact, and very dynamic wing position. I joined Alan on his eagle workshop in 2013 and all I can say is that it is an incredible experience! I came away with more keeper frames than I could ever hope to process!
