    This male Bullfinch posted briefly on a branch illuminated by the dying late afternoon sun.

    Slight crop of E-M5 frame, ISO 400, 1/250s
    Lens: TLAPO 804 refractor scope (triplet apochromat). 480mm FL, F/6

    This is a beautiful bird with good colours and bold markings. You made those shine through nicely! Good light. The perch, although a tad thick, is nicely covered in a thin layer of moss (and it looks like the bird was rubbing its beak on those mosses!). Critical focus looks to be on the upper back area, rendering the face softer. I also wish the angle was not so steep, but this is not always possible (unless using a feeder setup or such).
