Here's wishing everyone a very Happy New Year ( I missed Christmas ). While working on focus stacking ( I took a break) I took this of a felt ornament and added some textures. It has been fun working with everyone in OOTB, and since we are all improving , I look forward to even better images in the New Year! Make a wish!

I love the way the ornament sits on the background (looks like ice) Wonderful color contrasts and textures also.

Excellent. Love the colors--red against blue and lavender. It is a beautiful ornament, with interesting lines. The shape of the trailing ribbon is picked up in the texture and brings my eye back to the ornament.

So lovely and bright! Wonderful glowing magical feel with the soft swirling bkgd and the bright red and gold star strewn across. The gold thread pulls it all together. It feels happy, like wishing on a star! (as your title says).

My first impression is a untethered kite floating above the clouds. The subject and textures work together nicely.

This is very cool -- colors, textures, shapes -- all said above!

Hi, Jackie, it looks like everything has been said but let me add that I love it!

The first thing that struck me was how well the colors worked together. Then, I saw the gold loop and the designs from the texture. It's great how they combine to produce a great image in a subtle way. I agree with Anita about the effect of the string.
