Tufted Duck (my first experience with 7DII)
7DII, 600 II L, 1.4TCIII, tripod & gimbal head, natural sunlight light, 840mm, 1/1600s, f/5.6, +0.33, ISO400.
PP: selective NR, tone adjustment & cooling filter. Removed few specks in the water.
Full photo size: 2251 x 1526 pixels.
Location: Zadar (Croatia), December 2014.

Lovely angle and light but lots of speckles of noise in the bird. Perhaps adjust your PP techniques for sharpening as you should not be getting that problem at ISO 400.

Thanks, you are right, I will have to make better balance of RAW sharpness, NR and jpg export sharpness.

You've caught the light beautifully on this fellow Miroslav, turning what might have been a rather drab duck image into a subtle gem of avian portraiture.

I like the low angle, warm tones, and nice light. I'd take a bit off the bottom if mine. I agree about the noise, but as mentioned, likely a processing effect at that ISO. Happy Holidays to you too.

I like the low angle and nice water but the IQ lacks a bit, bird is quite noisy and blacks have lost detail. perhaps you can fix it in post, although it is huge crop and not sure if the 7d2 can handle it.
