    Default Spot-winged Grosbeak

A male spot-winged grosbeak, enjoying a meal of Kafal berries in the western Himalayas of India.

    Shot hand-held with a Canon 100-400L lens on a Canon 7D. 1/500th second @ f/5.6, ISO 1000.

About a 70% crop from the original. RAW processed in in Photoshop CS6. Some noise reduction on the background and unsharp mask on the bird. For the background noise reduction, I used the Surface Blur filter (a trick I learned from Art Morris' wonderful blog).
