Some wonder if this is a close-up of an actual small infectious agent. (donor of "grey matter" wishes to remain anonymous.)
This OOTB Virus (know as OOTBV), which is always present in our environment, has been shown to cause uncontrollable bouts of creativity and can only be suppressed... never cured.
Experts say best advice is to just "give in to it" every once in a while.
This seems to calm down the afflicted... for a little while.

But depending on you OOTBV condition... This may appear to be some glowing seasonal lights...

    Happy Holidays Everyone!!

I need to ask a question, similar to the how they get the caramel in a Caramilk bar.....how did you get the circles to line up so perfectly with the geometric drawing, very cool. Eye catching, I've had this virus for 6 years now.

Paul, I could have so much fun with this answer and talk about elves slaving away stuffing circles and caramel... BUT, I will behave.
There is an IOS app (iphone and ipad) called Percolator. http://www.percolatorapp.com/
You set some sliders and it "Brews" the images to your taste.
The base image was one of my pysiograms (swinging light, long exposure) images.
    Have fun!

Incredible! This is one of those viruses that incorporates itself right into DNA, as evidenced by the spiral structure....

Very cool, I was going to say fractal art, or a spirograph. I like that the grey circles are not perfectly symmetrical. It could be used for meditation. Thanks for the link.

Steve, this is very, very neat! I love the colors and randomness of the colors against the grey. Very creative

Past observations suggest that this virus thrives when it gets cold in northern Minnesota. I'm glad you've not become immune to it. This is quite incredible. I've not paid any attention to smartphone and tablet apps, but that might have to change.

Hi Artie, This started as a physiogram (which is explained/described to you in this thread...http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...f!!?highlight= ). It is basically a long exposure of the light trace of a swinging flashlight connected by a string to the ceiling. This can be 30 to 300+ seconds long. Then the image was taken into an IOS app called Percolator as described in pane #3 of this post. Let me know if I have answered your question.

This is the original image which was posted 12-12-2012 ...( http://www.birdphotographers.net/for...lly?highlight= ). A tutorial for this called "Light Weaving" was written for Denise Ippolito's eMag.

Thanks for the info and the link Steve. I did see the original explanatory post but had forgotten.... IAC, I am both baffled and amazed :). Your creativity boggles the mind.

Good thoughts Steve. I was just on the floor doing some core strength exercises to make sure that I do not wind up in the box sooner than need be :).
