This shot was a quick grab hand held out car window, resting on the outside rear view mirror. It was my wife's camera hence the camera on program mode, but thanks to the wife's generosity, I got a shot of a very skittish little fellow.

    Camera Model: Canon EOS 40D
    Shutter speed: 1/800 sec
    Aperture: 10
    Exposure mode: Program
    Flash: Off
    Metering mode: Multi-segment
    ISO: 640
    Focal length: 600mm [300mm f2.8 + 2x TC]
    Image size: 477 x 600

A very nice image, Louikie. I love the colors and the BG except for the diagonal limb in the upper right behind the subject which is distracting.

I like the pose Loukie but a sligt head turn towards you would have improved the image. Also the shoulder white seems a bit hot to me.

agree with stephen. the light does look harsh and the bird looks slightly oversharpened or too contrasty? do like the compo and the perch!

Beautiful little bird and I like the pose. As already mentioned a little overexposed in the white area but a very striking image with a good composition. Thanks for sharing Loukie.
