Eight Goldeneyes have arrived at my local harbour on their winter migration from Scandinavia. I managed to capture this one just as the winter sun was setting.

    Thanks for looking

Nice image, love the colors. A duck I have read reports of in Florida this winter.

    William:

I like this one a lot. The subdued lighting has allowed the subtle details in the head coloration to show, the gold water works with the eye, the wind had kicked up the head feathers a bit.

    Well done.

You have a stunner here, and the water color and effect kicks it up a notch. I am seeing something odd on the upper portion of the bill.

Great colours reflected in the water William, and good detail throughout the bird. Definitely one of our nicer ducks over here

    Repost looks good.
I like the low POV and the colors of the water.Colors in the head are really well shown and I really like the ruffled crest.
I find the whites are a bit grayed out but perhaps that is just me or my monitor as no one else has noticed this.

Very nice! The water texture and color combined with the low angle make for a stunning image. Great detail in the head as well.

I like the body angle, sharpness, wind blown head feathers, water colour compliments the eye perfectly. Excellent image William.

Nice alert pose and good feather detail. I think you could push the whites a little further to the right, as they look gray to me.
