Hi Ed - Your pp has really improved. Nice detail and sharpness here. A simple portrait but it works. I like the complementary tones of the bg to the lion and the windblown look of the lion. Colors look good too.

ED - Nice portrait of a wind blown lion. Very nice! I was wondering if you have some canvas available, a little how a less tight crop on the upper left would look. I had the feeling that a little more room on top and in front of the animal might be nice.

Such a simple shot, but you've executed this superbly. I really like the windswept pose and the raised head. I can see the argument for a slightly looser crop, but that's going to be very subjective. As it is this is a very appealing shot to me

    HI ED,

very nice pose of the chap and also like the wind. Not sure where you cropped, if from bottom I would give it to him, if from the left I also would give it to him. Just me!

    Have a nice eve

    Ciao

Many thanks, gang! The crop was from the left and top which went out to the horizon. I cropped the way I did was because I had nothing on the bottom and was trying to balance it a bit. I can bump out left and top but the bottom is what it is.

Rachel -- any improvements in my pp is because of excellent feedback I get here. :)

Can't add much more than what's already been said and agree with the nice detail, colour and great light you have managed here Ed.

    Hello Ed,

Beautiful proud lion and that windswept mane is awesome, well captured! I understand your thinking behind the cropping, makes sense. It is a pity you have so little on the bottom of the image, nevertheless I still like it very much. Well done, hope we see more from you 2015!

    Kind regards,

Love the pose and the crop. Background colors are really nice and good detail.
