I picked up a 100-400 f4.5-5.6 L IS lens yesterday and I tried it out Today.
I have some good images taken with it. I think it has a potential.
One thing is sure: it was much more enjoyable to hand hold it for hours than the 500 f4.0 L IS.
    Thanks for looking.

Nice shot of a lovely little bird! What would you think about cropping from the top to get rid of the horizontal piece of the branch.

Karl it's a toss up between the two posts, maybe the second has the edge. I am really enjoying your excellent Warbler images ,this certainly fits the bill. Is it normal to still have these birds with you so late in the year?

    Cheers Keith.

Thanks, Keith. This place usually has a few Warblers wintertime.
It is a little forested area along Lake Ontario with a municipal sewage treatment plant at the edge of it.
It provides food for tiny flies and the tiny flies feed the Warblers.

Lovely image Karl. I like the original post, but there's not much to choose between them. Both lovely. Well done

Karl this tickled me( It is a little forested area along Lake Ontario with a municipal" sewage treatment" plant at the edge of it.
It provides food for tiny flies )My wife always complains about our trips to sewage plants she says she must have visited them all over the world, does exaggerate a bit, bless her.

    Keith.
