Sorry, my participation has been sporadic but I've been having internet connection issues and I'm trying to muddle through until after the holidays (calling AT&T makes me lose my holiday spirit). This is another image from my recent trip to St. Augustine. I could spend all day under the pier - such interesting things to see. This is straight out of the camera except for curves, etc. and a teeny bit of poster edge.
    Thanks for looking.

Pretty cool abstract, and I love the fact that you go looking for these. I would be curious to see it rotated 90˚ CW and cropped from the bottom to just after the junction of the background (sky?). Just a crazy thought... It looks pretty cool cropped that way horizontally too, based on my "browser crop" (dragging the window off-screen so it cuts off the right of the frame), but it might not be what you had in mind. Showing the background gives it a sense of space.

This would make a great texture Cheryl! I think Kerry has made a good point, I flipped it 180 degrees and the image seemed to make more sense to me. I hope you don't mind me working on it.

Fantastic textures, colors shapes! I'm intrigued by how different the image looks in Jackie's rotation. I like it better as presented by Jackie--somehow, it makes the far-away part of the image look right.

What a wonderful combination of colors, textures, bumps, and whorls . . . I like Jackie's rotation, too, and I think it's because it grounds the image. I can see why you could spend a whole day under the pier. Yet another reason to visit St. Augustine. And one I'd never have anticipated.
