    I like the shadow of the scissor-tailed flycatcher's tail and the graphic nature of the sign.

    I rather like the shadow as well.....it's interesting. Amazing how small the bird seems in relation to the large stop sign. I like the framing.....just enough of the stop sign to get the picture yet not too much to overwhelm a small bird. I guess if I would want anything, it might be for just a little head turn so that he's not looking so directly at you....but then again, I think the overall feeling would be different as well.

    I would just love to see one of these amazing birds. Its a different composition for sure. Personally the sign overpowers the bird. But hey, if you like it, who am I?

    Thank you, Grady, it is 'different' and certainly breaks a rule of some kind (ha!) - I agree about the rather overpowering sign - so I'm sure some will like it & others won't! These guys are pretty, I think, and quite common in my area. I've just posted another image in Hand of Man that shows the apricot colors on and beneath the wings better (much closer image), if you're interested. Again, thanks for taking the time to stop and comment.
