Great subject and great pose captured. The scene is busy, but I'm not sure you could have done anything about it. Might want to rotate a little counterclockwise. There also seems to be a little bit of a blue color cast I'm noticing especially in the legs.

Hi Sanjeev - Very cute pose. I probably would have gone vertical here if there was time to avoid much if the busy bush to the rhs. With the 5D3 it should hold up to a crop if you so desire. I agree with Lyle about the blues coming through but think there are more issues with the tones/colors. It just looks off to me, to light in the face and dark in the body. I went back to your other posts of the cub and the colors here look different. I'm not sure if it was the light or if it is a pp issue. It may be worth it to reprocess the image but let's see if others agree.

    TFS,
    Rachel

    Sanjeev,

Very cute pose. The busy background does not bother me, but the color cast is a negative. However, that can easily be corrected with one click on the Auto button in Curves. A little boost in the Reds, Magenta and Yellow sliders with Color Balance will also help. But, I do like the capture.

Hi Sanjeev , i like this as is from the comp POV , very cool pose of the leopard and i am fine with the inclusion of the bushes .
Agree with the blues creeping in, an easy fix . The blacks do look a bit too solid for my taste .

Douglas - wonder what you expect by hitting " Auto" in curves ? Blacks are already choked and the HL already pushed to the limit , better color by hitting "Auto" ? well i do not think so , but your call .

    TFS Andreas

Hello Sanjeev! Is there any species you have not photographed yet? This is very special and I actually like the inclusion of the environment here, it seems the little leopard just came out of the den and stretching after a little "cat nap".

This is such a precious image, framing is great, sharpness is there where it needs be, I just humbly suggest you give it a little more TLC...I would not hit "auto" anywhere, be it LR or PP (sorry Doug, I think Andreas is right), you will end up with an exaggerated version of whatever you are trying to do...I would just reduce the blues (desaturate) and try to get a little detail in the blacks (nose and muzzle). Try not touch the contrast slider when you do the RP, but do lift the shadows a bit if possible. If you need any help please send me a PM. I am not big on PP work but I love a challenge, I also love leopards way too much:)

I really enjoy viewing your images and with this occasion I would like to thank you for your comments and suggestions on mine. Hope you have a wonderful New Year in 2015, wishing you all the best, good health, happiness, and of course - more photographic opportunities!

    Kind regards,
    Gabriela Plesea
