    I noticed two house wren were busy near their nest hole and this stump was not too far away. Before long, he hopped up onto the stump and sung a few notes.

    7D Mark II / 500 f/4L I / 1.4x III, handheld
    Natural light, levels, toned down the green grass background, brightened the eye, Dfine on BG, Detail extracter, smart sharpen

    Nice singing pose, BG has an appealing shade of green. Sharp as posted. Light looks a bit harsh - reducing the contrast would surely help here. I'd also have preferred more room for the composition. Still a fine image, and you did well to anticipate the action!

    Fine detail and great singing pose. Well captured. Some contrast reduction sounds like a good suggestion. I'd also get rid of the oof object in the extreme lower left corner.

    I agree completely with the above comments, and echo Bill's about addressing that OOF object in the LLC. Bird looks great, nice BG, but the light does look a little harsh.
