    A weather front came through bringing overcast and, at times, dark skies and so, in the break from harsh sunlight, I took this picture I'll be adding to my "Coot" collection. I like the serene feel. (love their funny, lobed feet) Thanks for looking/comments appreciated.

    Canon 40D; Av f5.6; 1/1600; Evaluative +0.7; ISO 800; 100-400 @188mm

    Awahh Katie, how adorable and you even got the feet! Very nice on the exposure and details. I'm sure there is a critique somewhere in here:)

    A really lovely image of a coot, Katie!! Sharp and clear as a bell; great details....and I love the feet! I don't see anything to improve upon!!

    ........ Yes Nonda I do see a critique ..... ir ia wonderful and I wish it was mine !!! If anything a more of a head turn !!!

    The key to these images is the light and you had great light !!! I like how you framed the bird and have the feet showing. Lots of detail in the dark feathers and the white at the beak in check !!! You get a Big Time Congrats on this one Katie !!!! Proud of you !!!!
