    Default Those "lion" eyes

The Nsefu pride females with 6 cubs here huddled under a thicket to wait out a thunderstorm, as evidenced by their wet coats. It makes for a nice B&W conversion also.
I love the eyes in the FG & BG that come together to make a lovely trio of lion eyes, I'm not too concerned with the cut off ears of the FG cub and happy with the comp as it is.

Hi Marc they look quite funny that dirty the little lions , with a great cute factor .
Taking your words from the intro , i think the position of the three is not ideal , by knowing we cannot tell them what to do for us . For me the overlap tiny bit too much . The piece of wood is a bit unfortunate nothing you do likewise .
I quite like the overall tones and colors with a nice depth in them , but would back off on the contrast very slightly .

Hi Marc, such cute lions. I like that they are wet, something different. I as well would back off a slight tad the contrast as Andreas mentioned. I do not mind with the tree, bush branch or so at all, that is life :)

    have ve a great eve

Hi Marc - definite cuteness factor here. Good comments and suggestions by Andreas and Anette. I too would back off on the contrast. The log doesn't bother me but the ear intersecting the eye of the bg lion does.

Nice image Marc. Those eyes are awesome. Nice isolation of subject despite the busy scene. Nits have been covered already by others and I echo them.

Hey Marc. This will be a "Marmite" one for sure...
I like what you were going for - but for it to have been pulled off in my books (ie if it were my shot) I would have liked the FG OOF cub's head to be turned a smidge more towards us so the eye is more defined/visible, and also the in focus cub's ear to not overlap the furthest OOF cub's eye as mentioned by Rachel. Sure this sounds uber-nit-picky, sorry about that, but just relaying the first thoughts I had when viewing the image without reading any critique already given.

    Hi Marc,

I love the idea and I don't mind the stick, but the cub on the left just feels a little dominant to me in this comp. I messed with it a little bit in PS and I thought a slight crop helped. Just my 2 cents.

    Hi Marc,
I always like it when I see something different but...I am not loving this one.
I find the OOF cub in the FG a bit too dominant and wish for a better HA on him so that we could see the eye .
