Wasn't sure about the crop here, its already a big crop 3.3mpx of 10.1, and wanted to know how you guys feel about the compo.

I lightly sharpened it, do you think it needs more?

    Hi Dvir,
Here my opinion about Eagle in Space:
Nice shot, I love the detail in the feathers and the waterdrops from the claws!
More cropping: I think so, a bit less background will make the image stronger, the emphasis is on the bird.
Brightness and contrast: a little more of both.
More sharpening: Maybe a little, not much.
After more cropping I think the compo is just fine.
    I hope this helps.

    Kind regards,
    Kees

A very nice topside view! I might take a little off the bottom and left but I wonder how the IQ will hold up. It's soft as is, and there is a limit to what sharpening can do. But if your only end product is a web-sized image, you might be able to get away with more sharpening.

It's certainly worth a try, and you're the best judge, looking at it at 100%.

That's a sharp lens even with the 2X and your spec look good, but pixels on the subject are very important for IQ.

its actually decently sharp (not really any less than my tamron 70-300 at 300mm), I guess I undersharpen with my photos, maybe a bit more contrast will help it look sharper. I do not think it will handle more cropping well, I really need a longer lens for this type of photography.

    a 100% crop

At the small size of the bird in the frame the details are swamped by noise, which unfortunately you can't do much about. A longer lens or getting closer is unfortunately mandatory for sharp images in cases like this.

Yeah, though I don't think I can get the new one, so will have to make do with the older one.

I'm a fan of this crop, although I agree that a tad of local contrast and sharpening could go a long way!
