I just got Topaz Impressions mostly working and this is my first experiment. This is a small pink flower of the high altitude prairie. I never did figure out it's name. I used one of the artists in Impression and modified it. Added Nik tonal contrast selectively with a paint brush. Then a trip into Fractalius, modified. I wonder if the dark areas of the bkgd are too dark?

Hi Nancy, nice job with the plugin - I think you're going to love it. I think the dark background works well here and wouldn't change it. The colors are very nice and the painting technique works well.

Lovely as presented, Nancy. I think you nailed the "believability factor" with this painterly processing technique and Impressions. Wish I could help with the flower name, but I usually have to rely on reference books or friends.

I like the painted effect you achieved, and the combination of colors is appealing. To better be able to respond to your question about the dark areas of the background, I played around with luminosity masks and Curves. If it were mine, I'd lighten up the darker parts a bit to show off the deep reds at the bottom.

I love the effect this software has achieved. If it were mine I might crop a bit from the bottom. Nice work.

I like the look Nancy, the only thing I am not fond of is the blue edges, which remind me of chromatic aberration. I do like the big bold look of the flower in the frame. Looks like hours of fun coming up!

Thanks all! I think I will try to lighten up the deep reds.

Beautiful work. The best I've seen using T Impressions. Very painterly and delicate. I like it as presented. I might also like it with modifications.
