Default Sharpening for web (please help!)

I would like to know if some members here could share how they sharpen their images for web (or for printing)

What I do, once I have given the image the final size is to convet the file into 8bit, or should I keep it 16bit until I have sharpened? Am I missing something here?
Then I apply Smart Sharpen/Basic/Amount-depends-/Radius(Here I am confused as If I only apply 1 pass then I use 0.3 but if I apply 2 passes then I use 0.2) does this make sense?
    Remove Gaussian blur/and More Accurate.

I havenīt played with the Advance mode yet.

Is this the right way to do it? any help is highly appreciated
    PS: I use PS CS6

Thanks so much Don for sharing the link. Just red it and I will do it again and see if I can improve my sharpening workflow.
