    Default MILKWEED POD

The weather in SE Idaho so far this year has been bizarre. We have had several days of record temperatures in the mid to high 50s. On my bird outings, the usual winter species are scarce or absent. I have been relegated to shooting weeds. Not much done to this other than a touch of poster edge to the subject and a 2-lil-owls texture for the bg.

I like the diagonal, your use of Poster Edges, and your background choice. Very nicely done.

Hi, Gary, I like milkweed pods and I especially like the poster edge that you used. The textures are very nice and my only complaint (very small) is the diagonal scratch that intersects the stem about midway. I'm sure it's in one of the textures.

I also enjoy these as a subject, Gary. The complimentary tones, comp and subtle framing are wonderful.

Gary, we've had that exact same unusually summer-like weather also here in northern CO! Lovely but not to last. Wonderful organic image with great earthy colors for the gritty dried milkweed. Simple and effective. You might consider a little less of a central position for the seed pod, having less bkgd on the left and more on the right.

I like how the poster edges has really brought out the texture. The choice of BG is lovely. I never would have noticed the scratch unless Cheryl had pointed it out.

Very well done! I love how it stands out from the BG.

Beautiful work with poster edges. I like the effects on this simple pod. The diagonal of the stem is pleasing. The little leaves are a nice touch. The pod itself seems to be turning its head towards the viewer.
For me, there is too much bg. I would crop from all four sides, cropping more from the left to make the pod be off center.
    Lovely image for winter.
Shouldn't this be a Theme image?
