    Default Northern Harrier

It's been a great raptor season already and the harriers have moved in right behind the migrating coots. This female gave me some nice eye contact and I like the cool wing position.

Thanks as always for looking and for your input. I appreciate it.

The HA seems to be good with beautiful light. Im a huge admirer of bgs with various colors and this one is right up there in the list. I just feel that the compo might be a tad bit too squarish in my opinion. Thanks for sharing

Great shot of my nemesis bird, Dave. We have just a couple down here and they rarely come in close.

Sweet light, as always with your shots. Nice balance on your exposure, which can be difficult contending with whites, mid-tones and darks all at the same time.

    Thanks everyone.

Bob, I know you wanted to get a good one of a Harrier but they just didn't cross our paths right that day. Next time :)

I like the HA, details, sharpness, BG and composition works with the wing position. Well done David.

I love the IQ and the BG but I am not loving this comp. Feels awkward to me.
I would definitely add more canvas on the LHS

Thanks everyone. I appreciate your comments.

Gail, I cropped this one this way because of the wing position and because I wanted to keep the color on the top and bottom and to keep it pretty tight to concentrate on the nice details. A 2X3 and a 3X4 didn't work well.
I usually don't crop to a fixed format for web viewing, but for printing I have to. Thanks for your comment
