    Default Willet at Sunset

From the recent trip to Corpus

This Willet was so busy feeding that it wasnt bothered by me being so close. the pink/ purple/ magenta hues from the sy were so beautifully reflected that i had to take this picture. out comes the flash. but the bird wouldn't stay still (of course). out of many decent frames I liked this the most.

Nice pose and lovely colors, especially in the water. I can see why you had to take it. I could see a bit more sharpening on the bird, or maybe some Nik DE or Topaz Detail.

Good choice to use fill flash here, as it enabled you to both capture the beautiful water colors and expose the bird properly. A SS of 1/100 is marginal for an actively feeding Willet, but you didn't have a lot of wiggle room. Nicely done overall!
