David, welcome to OOTB!! I love the image - I really like the subject and the HDR processing and the track running through the image is a nice addition. This looks like a great place to do some photography. I hope we'll see more of your work here.![]()

Welcome! Great to see your work.RE the small house on left....I think it helps add depth to the image and balances out the slight bump in the horizon of the wheel on the right. Nice comp.
The HDR works well with this derelict scene. I like the article of clothing draped over the machinery adding to the sense of decay. Great textures from the processing and a great story told here. The house on the left seems slightly incongrous to me. Overall a lovely image, welcome to OOTB and hope to see more posts from you.
David,
Greetings. Welcome to OOTB & BPN. Great depth of field with the diagonals, rail receding in the distance with that great kink... all accentuated with the color depth - blue-orange - reds & blue with the sprinkling of green. If it were mine I might smooth the highlights a bit (the hdr thing), but that would be just to my taste. That rope off the boat is particularly cool. Good show!
Cheers,
-Michael-
Great Marine scene. Very evocative.
Welcome aboard! You've captured a great scene and processed it nicely. Great composition. As soon as I saw this, I liked the building on the left. Like Hazel, I think it adds depth. It's also a cause for speculation, and I think that's a good thing.
Thank you to everybody for your kind and constructive comments. The building on the left is a bona fide part of the scene, it is a fisherman's hut and the sea is just beyond it. I included it to stop the eye from wandering out of the picture.
Very nice David and let me add my welcome. I hope you will become a regular here, we have a lot of friendly people who love to enhance their images in creative ways.

Welcome David, the perspective and composition with multiple objects is well done. I also like the grainy and gritty texture.
Love the varied textures that pop in this image. Great composition and vanishing perspective! I feel I am right there, in the scene, viewing it. Your low point of view works to make the boat loom large and dominate an image that has lots of other interesting things. WElcome and hope to see more of your work.
Wonderful image and processing, David. Love the subject and your composition.
I'm late to the scene here. Welcome to OOTB and this is a great image to start with! I really like the sharp realism look that the HDR brings to the image. Very good composition with those tracks running off to the horizon. The subdued color palette adds greatly to the derelict look of things. Keep on posting!
