Wasn't sure about this one, so that is why posting here (that is what I do for all the shots I am not 100% sure about). I like the colors and all, the image is a bit busy though to my eyes, and I wanted to ask if others feel the same.

It's a bit busy and the large crop on small subjects has limited IQ. But with the environmental aspect, it can be viewed as an art piece, with the IQ contributing to a somewhat painterly effect. The color palette it very nice and contributes to the artistic aspect of the image.

I think I'd consider removing the bright area near the top, or at least toning it down. It attracts too much attention and interferes with the flow of the eye through the image.

Thanks Diane, that is the struggle with distant subjects, at 100% they are actually very sharp, but by cropping only half way it shows limited details because there are limited details that your eye can pick up from this distance. But I think for the compo its better this crop than a tighter one. And I will try toning that down and reposting.

I like smaller in frame birds where there is geometry, pattern, color etc. The far shore doesn't add anything colorwise for me, so I would consider just going pano and cutting it off and cloning out the reflection of the bush URC. Maybe going even wider with the crop? You got nice head angles on all 3, increasing DOF might have brought the furthest swan a little more in focus?
