Another one from the archives, not reedited, I think i through away the TIff for this (yes I am an idiot) but I still have the RAW so any suggestions, and I can name a few already (darks are a bit heavy, specular highlights on leg, and brown spot on head should be removed, although not personally a big fan of doctoring, also could have been level, though that was not an option). Still I wanted to share it because I love his face.

Although I like the pose and the feathers that are sticking out this HA is not my fav. since the eyes don't show. it doesn't quite work with birds that have long beaks IMO. Good exposure, could use a bit more sharpening. You need to leave more room for virtual feet.

I wish he was looking right at me, as it stands he is looking ever so slightly to my left. If I was level with him it would have helped bring out the eyes. Also I have no more room below. Thanks for the reply.

I actually like this pose. Both eyes are visible and this pose truly shows off the spectacular plumage. Taken from a high angle, this works well. Your composition is good and you cropped at the right spot on the bird's legs. Agree on additional sharpening.

I like the pose too, and I like the higher perspective in this case. Maybe just a bit more room at bottom needed for my tastes, and yes, the dirty spot on the head would go if mine. The dark BG looks good against the white subject.

Spectacular image. Beautiful bird with very nice hair do. Nice exposures in whites. Agree about space at the bottom.
