    Default Merlin in spotlight

Here is another frame from last week's SoCal shoot with Dave Salem. We had an opening in the cloudy skies that provided some unique lightning situation. BG was a distant hill and fell in the shade. We had to change exposure every 5 seconds!

    Hope you like this frame

Technically perfect image. Love the light and the IQ and the great BG colors.

Artistically perfect, as well. For me the rugged-looking perch fits a wild habitat and matches the bird's colors very well.

Very good Arash, perch could be darkened a bit for my taste, um, maybe a bit less sharpening on the eye. Otherwise very nice.

Thanks Dan, this was not a setup. Dave knows how to use his truck as a mobile blind to provide many photo opportunities that would otherwise be impossible

That is one of the nicer frames we got that day. Love the light against the dark BG. It was fun shooting the changing conditions and we got many different looks from the same pose. She is still here. See ya soon.
