Default Frantic male with persistent contact call

Midday but with cloud cover so not ideal lighting.
This is a male who along with his mate were constantly calling with their signature contact call. He become so frantic at one stage and he did this very wide search of the open areas looking for something. He must have picked up on a female's scent that had passed this way recently and obviously wanted to locate her. I was keen to hang around as these meetings can be full of packed action at times, especially if there are cubs involved and she is coming on heat. Well it never happened that day but they found a female with three cubs the next day in the same area. Unfortunately I was not able to view them. Here he is uttering the call.

Great sighting Carl. Awesome POV and BG. I like the calling pose and the head turn. Comp wise you could take a bit off the top and sharpen the head just a tad more. It could do with some contrast as well. Colours look good to me. Sorry to hear you couldn't be there the next day to see the female and Cubs. TFS.

Love;y ose and BG. Colors look good. Eyes are a bit dark. I'd suggest brighten them a tad. Loi

    I really like this.
Great BG and pose. I think the soft diffuse light is lovely.
I would take a sliver off the top . I am fine with the eyes as is.

Great pose and clean BG. So nice to get a clean surrounding when shooting cats. Great look back and calling pose. I feel the image just looks a little washed out, he blacks don't pop so nicely. Sorting that out would take a already fine image up a notch. Very nice Carl.

Hi Carl - Great pose and comp. I agree with Dumay on giving it a bit more pop. I also would not add any sharpening to the head. Looks like it was sitting on a ridge which really gave you a nice bg. Some minor tweaks will really make this stand out.

Hi Carl agree with the others regarding comp and pose of the cheetah . Very clean and soft BG . Tones are a bit thin from 1/2 tones to the blacks well that could be executed if you wish . I am not 100 % with the overall colors , if this was mine i would go slightly warmer , but watch the yellows !!!.
    Nice work my friend .

    TFS Andreas

I agree with the other comments. Your RP addressses them nicely. Much improved image that started out very good too.

Hi Carl, good capture and nicely positioned in frame, although if you have it, then moving the whole crop down a little, therefore adding more at the foot would be good, it's a tad tight I feel. Like the look back and the mouth open, almost 'gasping' for air.
