    Trying an experiment to brighten up our dull, overcast days. Put two flashes about 4' away from the perch. I don't think it looks over flashed.
    Nikon D4, 500mm, 1/250 @ F6.3, 1/3 EV, ISO 800, tripod

    Like the natural colors of bird and perch. The exposure and light of bird and perch is good, maybe BG is a bit dark. Wish to see eye contact and NR for BG.

    Nice colors, good exposure on one of my favorite little passerines. It doesn't look over-flashed to me, although I'd take out the multiple catchlights. A head turn would have been nice.

    Nice capture Roy, I like the colours of the bird against the BG and the reds in the perch. Thanks for sharing

    Bird works great against that dark bg. Details are amazing and the berries add a nice pop. I just wish the bird were facing a bit more toward the viewer.
