It always amazes me that these beasts display the deepest moments of tenderness from time to time. All you need to do is wait - it will come. These two lionesses caught me off guard as I was swopping between two cameras depending on the need and this moment came when I had my longest reach combo in my hand (630mm FFE), which included a prime lens. In hindsight I thus found that I've cropped it a bit tight through the viewfinder, clipping the toes - but the moment is too nice not to share. Hope you agree...

    Snapped just after sundown.

LR adjustments to reign in whites and sharpen a little. Crop full frame except for a little space removed on the sides.

    All C & C's welcome.

Tobie, a very nice moment captured. Nice interaction and comp, I wish (as you explained) that the toes were not clipped and there was a little more room below but we take em as we get em. The third lion in the back drop is a bit distracting but no deal breaker. TFS.

Hi Tobie - yes, a very tender moment captured. I agree with Sanjeev's comments. I also find the blue coming through between the left lion's legs a bit distracting so would look to reduce or eliminate that. We've all been there where in the heat of the moment we clipped a toe or foot. See my recent cub chowing down post for an example.

    TFS,
    Rachel

Hi Tobie, very nice moment and the clipped toes don't bug me. Maybe a tighter crop could work too. The blue is really no major issue for me as the lions colours are perfect.
