This is the previous cub of the Scotia female, her name is n'Zilu which means fire as last year she burnt off her whiskers getting to close to a bush fire. They have since regrown....

Hi Dumay, this is gorgeous! Lovely cat with nice BG and very good details. I like the vertical composition. A little more DOF would have been nicer!

    Hi Dumay, another stunning portrait!!!

Good techs and lovely DoF at 2.8. Looks well exposed, but can't help feel a tad more exposure, under a third of a stop would just lift it, but again all personal choice. You are so fortunate.

Now this is what they mean by 'picture perfect', Dumay! Not sure if you've done anything special to get the BG color but it works perfectly for her! Love the pose and detail - well done!

Wow that looks well detailed and for me the DOF is just fine - wonderful shot.

Hi Dumay - a very regal portrait of her. Great detail and dof not an issue for me either. I see a bit of magenta in the whites that if it were mine I would reduce. I thought cats were smarter than to get too close to a fire. I'm glad it was only her whiskers.

Thanks for all the comments folks.
Rachel I also thought it had a slight cast but I wasn't sure if it was the BG giving the illusion on the whites. I will relook and repost.

I have reworked the image and used the advice given by Steve and Rachel.
I upped the exposure by about a 3rd of a stop, removed the magenta and purple and warmed the WB. Lightened the eye slightly and upped the whites in selective colour.

I think it now has a very nice 'pop' Dumay, and has now elevated it to where it needed to be, a real corker, but how do you now feel?
