    Default Soaring Red-tailed Hawk

    7D + 400mm 5.6L, 1/3200 @ f/5.6, ISO 400, 0 EV

I captured this image of a hawk that was flying along the top edge of a 200' cliff. I thought it was a nice change to be nearly eye level with the bird yet have the ground as the background

I desaturated the shaded side of the galvanized barn in the BG as it had a blue tint. Cropped & basic adjustments in LR5.

Nice angle and sharp, with a concentrated huntilng look! Is there a little more on both edges?

Wonder if it would look good to clone over the barn? Maybe even with partial opacity.

I like the eye-level view and the solid techs. Like Diane, I'm inclined to clone out the barn and add a bit of canvas.

Thank you Diane and Doug, for the remarks and suggestions. Yes had cropped a bit tight so here is another version that is only slightly cropped mainly from the top and left. I also cloned out the barn.

    Is this better?

    Thanks so much!

I love the edited version. What a great point of view, and that deadly stare just makes the image for me. Beauty.
