Red Kite Calling
Taken yesterday. Went to capture some Kingfisher images which didn't show, so settled on the local Red Kites. I ditched the 5D MKiii for this image and popped on the 7D which I normally avoid but wanted the little bit more extra reach.
7D, 500mm + 1.4X, ISO800, f7.1, 1/1600ss
Not the usual Red Kite shot and all the better for it. Harsh light but #i think you've controlled it well and a great calling pose
Sharp and detailed, and the perch is perfect for the dynamic pose! Great colors, too!
