I built a photography blind on my old layout punt to get this series of shots. The set up was in an offshore tule patch on the open Gulf side of Westham Is., with the punt in the weeds and 35 decoys 15 yds. out. 5D MIII, 400mm f/4 DO IS,0EV,f5.6,1/500, ISO1000, shutter priority. The orange on the head is typical of birds that nest on Wrangell Is., where the mud has a high iron content.

A neat looking Goose, but the horizontal line hurts the image for me.
Keep shooting, looking forward to others...

Agree with Dan on leveling the horizon.
Image appears quite underexposed and you have lots of noise in the BG.
Sounds like a great set-up you have and I am sure you will get some fine images,
    Gail
