This is beautiful! The bird is pin sharp! with a great BG an a nice low light. Only wish the stick was more on focus at the end.

Beautiful pin sharp Kingfisher ,stick might not be the best but that bird certainly makes up for it.

A stunning Kingfisher and excellent pose, Background is pleasing. Overall excellent image, although the perch is not ideal.

    Lovely light, BG and IQ.
I would take a sliver off the top and bottom.
If you are not anti-cloning I would trim off the OOF knob at the tip if the perch ( but not a big issue for me)
Would be very happy to have this in my files,
    Gail

What a sweet shot this is. Love the pose and the feather details are killer. The colors are beautiful especially against that smooth green BG. Great find and capture.

I found the frame a little dark and a hair flat on my monitor. Hope you don't mind as I don't do this to often but I liked this enough that I thought I would play with it a bit.
I increased exposure by a third, bumped up the contrast by 6 points, added 3 more points of saturation and darkened the mids with the levels slider. I then took some off the top to keep more of a 4X3 format and then cloned the branch back so it wasn't so prominent. I think it made this already sweet image pop a bit more. What are your thoughts? Oh, the repost got a bit pixilated but starting from scratch will fix that.

lovely pose, details and BG, KF is always a delight and you def. got a nice frame here. I agree with Dave that it looks a bit dark, I would increase exposure by ~1/2 stop but leave the colors as they are.

    Well done and TFS

Thanks for the comments and the suggestions. I agree, the repost does look better and the cloning skill is definitely better than mine.

Beautiful clear shot of one of our most beautiful birds, well done! I love David's enhancements - excluding the increase in saturation.

Hi Ben, lovely Juvie here, and although your OP is a tad 'dark' the colours are spot on. Overall nice and sharp, and comp wise, I would just take a touch off the bottom. Dave's repost works well.
