Great timing to get them both in frame and shadowing one another. Light is great and the poses good. I might have included less foreground and more of the nice broken trees and foliage in the bg above. But it's easy to say after the fact.

I would also like a bit of space in front - I bet you would too and wish you could have taken off the 1.4x quickly enough. We can all be envious of those with 200-400s now!

Thanks for posting - I enjoyed viewing.

Hi Tobie, Ed said it all. A little bit more room up front would be nice. Watch out for the shadow perhaps from the safari vehicle. Loi

Hi Tobie - I too like the walking pose and the way the lions are spaced. Another vote for more space in front. As Ed said, in hindsight, it would have been better to remove the tc.

Thanks for all the comments, guys (& Rachel )! Yes, I could have removed the TC but everything happened very fast. They have just surprised me by coming up from a ravine and the lion fever was running high! I also wish for a little space on the left but this is full frame so no easy solution for that in hindsight.

Loi it's a shadow of a tree - I was in my car about 100m from them so no artificial shades here...

Love the lighting here Tobie, but do agree on some more forward space.

I'm sure we've all been down the I forgot my TC was on route.

    TFS
