Spending a few days in New Mexico with my buddy Brian Small photographing at the refuge. This was taken about 100 feet from the entrance kiosk. There's so much more there than cranes and geese.

Beautiful image Alan! I was in Bosque about 3 weeks and saw a lot of the small birds there, specially around the Gift Shop/Centre. It will be nice seen your images of them. I struggled to get close to them.

Awesome frame of one of my favorite smaller subjects. Great pose with the wings up and the open beak. Looks like it's grabbing the berry but I don't think they eat them as they are insectivorous birds. Very nice.

Hey David, thanks. Almost all Flycatchers eat berries.

Pretty impressive with a nice arrangement of the berries. Was this a setup or a case of noticing a repeating behaviour and taking advantage of that? In any case just as cool either way...just being curious.

Another exceptional image, Alan. Love the IQ and the approach for that particular berry. Speaking of berries, how well this plant works with the composition and colors.
