Hi all ,this was one of my numerous encounters with the White Rhino´s in a secret place somewhere in the world.
I was lucky to see almost every day even small guys like this one with the mother and normally not very shy .
I have been there before some more than 9 years ago and my impression was there has been even more of them ,maybe i was just lucky this time .
This little guy left mother to check me out .

    Cano EOS 1Dx
EF 200-400 at 560 mm (TC in place)
    Swingin lens support

    F 5,6 ; Iso 4000 ; 1/400 sec

Processed with DPP 4 and PS CC ; slight crop from3 sides ; no NR ; a lot of gardening to get rid of that annoying burnt stuff .

Thanks for watching and commenting to my previous posting .

    Cheers Andreas

Very cute Andreas! Soft light and open setting has helped here.
Love that little nub on his nose...Colour looks good and I like the hint of motion blur in the hind leg.

    Cute moment Andreas,

like the soft o'cast lighting, detail and low angle, seeing as your ethics allow for some "gardening" , I would have removed the (somewhat) distracting twig running down the belly/rear leg.

Andreas, this is a sweet image! I like the details you have brought out despite the high ISO. Nice walking pose with the raised raised hind limb with slight motion blur. Nice green environs too. Well done.

Hi Andreas - definite cuteness factor here. Nice low pov and plenty of detail to enjoy. Colors look good too. Agree with Marc, if you are going to do the other stuff, why not remove the twig too?

    Rachel

Awww this is magic, Andreas - nice detail on the baby rhino at 1/400s, and that pose is just adorable, well framed and presented and the colours very natural, you did a great job capturing as well as processing this image!

I would not remove the stick if this was mine, makes me think the little one touched it while walking and got a little tickle, I saw adults brushing against small twigs (as well as stumps) to get a good scratch...

Hope to see more images from this secret place,
    Gabriela Plesea

This is great - would love to see one so small! I would leave the stick for the same reasons that Gabriela gives. I find the dark vegetation just under its mouth a little distracting and might remove that.

Thanks all for your kind comments as always, much appreciated .

I left some of the burned stuff in the frame , on RHS it does not bother me , even if not ideal . What i removed was growing out of the head and right in front of the head . Normally i try to avoid massive cloning , but in this case there was no choice . It was just a cool location in that place where two youngsters came almost everyday downhill with their mother and it was a good option to get them on eye level , the price was the burned stuff in all images . And they preferred to walk through there , at least when i saw them .

In the end i was happy to see ,during my short time , just so many of them .

Hope you understand my point , cheers Andreas

Hi Andreas, lovely capture of a cute, little guy, lets hope he gets to enjoy full maturity and left in peace. Like the framing & slight movement in the leg.
