    Default The unseen Bosque

It has taken me four trips to Bosque to realize that there is so much more to see there than cranes and geese. I see caravans of vehicles rushing from one field of cranes to the next field of geese, shooting thousands of frames of single birds, and I wonder if they ever consider the amazing scenes that are all around if the time is taken to look. I used Alien Skin Snap Art at a very low opacity, plus a recipe I made in Nik CEP to add a bit of blur vignette and regular vignette.

I hope everyone is busy with holiday activities, it seems really slow here...

I like all the earth tones, and the birds at the end of the path is just perfect. It's only been in the last couple years, I think, that I've seen many scenic images of Bosque. It seems like a narrow field of view (pun intended) to focus on single birds when there's so much else there. I'm looking forward to visiting even if it's a birdless time of the year.

There is much to see there Dennis! I think you would find lots of great opportunities for creativity.

This is wonderful! I love how I move down the path, with the trees framing it with overhanging limbs. Just the right amount of painting!

    Kerry,

Greetings. The composition is just right with the trees and bushes focusing our attention on the small in frame birds. It's a taste thing but I could do with a bit less blur vignette. Beautiful color.

    Thanks for posting.

    Cheers,

    -Michael-

Kerry, pleasing colors and composition. Having been to Bosque a few years ago, I can picture this location. Kudos for discovering and sharing the full spectrum of this special place.

Hi, Kerry, those spots are what I love the most about Bosque. Hidden right before our eyes. I like the dreamy quality of this, the colors are lovely and the cranes are the icing on the cake.

In your photos you all looked pretty cold, amazing that there's still so much color....love the speck of red visible on the cranes head....well done

This is a beautiful image. It is calm. It shows a protected place where the birds and humans can slow down. I'm slightly distracted by the bright trees/bushes on the far left. Maybe tone them down just a bit? Beautiful work.

Dreamy image. Looks like you found a nice, hidden spot. I have never been to Bosque, but you photos make me want to go.
